Does Foxy work for people with tattoos?

Updated this week

Yes - but results can vary depending on your photo set.

Tattoos are one of the trickiest things for AI to get exactly right, especially if they’re detailed, colorful, or inconsistent across your photos. To get the best results, make sure:

  • Your tattoos are clearly visible in multiple high-quality photos

  • They’re shown from different angles, under good lighting

  • You avoid mixing photos where your tattoos appear flipped - like selfies taken in mirrors, which can make them look like they're on the wrong side. Make sure your tattoos are always on the same side in your uploaded images.

  • You also avoid mixing photos with and without tattoos, which can confuse the model

Additionally, you can control how strongly the AI reinforces them using the Tattoo Toggle in the character settings. You might need to experiment what works best for your specific character.

Generally, here’s how it works:

  • Turn it ON if you're heavily tattooed or if you are creating images where your tattoos would be naturally visible

  • Turn it OFF if you have only few tattoos or for outfits where your tattoos wouldn’t normally.

Leaving it on in those cases can make the AI “guess” where tattoos should go, sometimes resulting in extra or misplaced ones.

Essentially, the tattoo toggle reinforces tattoos during generation. It’s perfect for images where they should be visible, but best left off when they wouldn’t naturally show.
