My AI doesn't look like me - what can I do?

Updated today

If your AI doesn’t look like you, don’t worry - it’s usually an easy fix.

Most issues come down to the photos you uploaded. Here’s what to check:

  • 📸 Clear face photos - Your AI needs to see your face clearly. Blurry pics, heavy filters, or blocked faces lead to poor results.

  • 😊 Missing expressions - The AI can guess what a smile looks like, but if you didn’t upload a photo of your smile, it won’t know how to replicate it accurately.

  • 🔁 Inconsistent appearance - Mixing hair colors, makeup styles, or lighting types can confuse the AI about your default look.

How to Update or Improve Your Character

If your character doesn’t look like you or doesn’t represent you properly, the single most effective thing you can do is swap out the character images.

You can now swap your character’s images as often as you like. Each time you do this, Foxy will retrain your character using the new images, which can dramatically improve likeness and results.

How to Swap Out Your Character Images

  1. Go to the Characters tab

  2. Select the character you want to update

  3. Click the edit (pencil) icon on the character

  4. Replace one or all images with new ones

  5. Save - your character will be retrained using the new images

That’s it! You can repeat this process anytime.

Why This Matters

Your character images are the foundation of everything Foxy generates - images and videos.
If the character looks off, it’s almost always because the training images need improvement.

Best Practices for Character Images

  • Use clear, well-lit photos

  • Show your face clearly (no heavy filters)

  • Avoid images that exaggerate features you don’t want reflected

  • Choose images that actually look like you

When Should You Do This?

You should swap out your character images if:

  • The face doesn’t look like you

  • The body proportions feel off

  • The character doesn’t represent you accurately

👉 Always start by swapping out images before trying anything else.

This is the first and best troubleshooting step.
